Vision Analytics for Improved Sports Performance, Concussion Therapy and Remedial Reading Diagnostics

Eye tracking technology has become widely recognized as a valuable tool in revealing deficiencies that can affect both athletic and academic performance. However, most people have never been exposed to the benefits of digital vision analytics that are provided by eye tracking technology.

All SightTrax affiliated practitioners utilize the RightEye Vision Analytics System which is recognized worldwide as the gold standard in vision analytics. When you visit a SightTrax affiliated practitioner, you can be assured you are getting the best analysis of your vision tracking capabilities.

What is Eye Tracking?

Our eyes are meant to work as a team when we look at objects that are either moving or fixed. To do that they need to be able to coordinate their individual focus on an object. This coordination is provided by the eye muscles that control the movement of each eye. This is different than vision acuity which has to do with how clearly you see. Vision acuity is corrected by glasses, contacts, or laser surgery. If the eye muscles for each eye are not working to precisely focus each eye on an object, this can often be corrected by specific eye exercises to strengthen and coordinate the muscles of the eyes.

By running a series of assessment tests, the RightEye System measures the ability of your eyes to focus on a moving or fixed object. The System does this by tracking your eyes as they follow a moving object on the System’s specialized screen or by their ability to maintain focus on a fixed point

The creator and world leader in eye tracking technology is Tobii AB, a publicly traded, Stockholm Sweden based company. Founded in 2001 to develop eye tracking technology, it has grown to a worldwide company supplying core, eye tracking hardware and software to a wide array of health researchers, interactive computer systems and commercial applications. In 2012, RightEye was formed in Maryland to take the data generated by the Tobii hardware and commercialize it into a system that could generate highly accurate assessments of an individual’s eye tracking capability. Its FDA approved system has become the vision analytics leader in the vision care industry. All SightTrax affiliated providers utilize the RightEye System to deliver to their patients and clients the ultimate in comparative vision capabilities.

Why is Eye Tracking Important?

In sports, if there are deficiencies in the eyes coordination in following a moving object such as a pitched, batted, thrown or kicked ball, then it increases the brain’s difficulty in determining where in 3-D space that object is as it progresses along its trajectory.

In academics, if the eyes are deficient in focusing on each word as a line of text is read, then the reading rate is slowed, and comprehension is adversely affected. In that reading is the basis for all other academic disciplines, a deficiency in reading affects overall academic performance.

In concussion therapy, the use of the sophisticated vision analytics data provided by the RightEye System reveals the progress of recovery. Eye exercises are also used to help “rewire” the brain following a concussion type injury.

Can Eye Tracking Ability be Improved?

In many cases, the answer is yes. Once you have undergone the assessments, if there is need for improvement then you can subscribe to a series of online training sessions specifically designed to improve the deficient areas which the assessments revealed. These can typically be completed in 30 days and then a follow-up reassessment can take place to determine if the training has made a material difference in your ability. Like any set of muscles, the eye muscles do have a limit of strength and coordination. Assessments and training will get you to your own optimum level.

From Our Co-Founder & CEO.

Greetings,

Thank you for visiting our website. SightTrax was founded to raise consumer awareness of the premier technology in vision analytics created and produced by RightEye, Inc. Vision analytics has proven to be a valuable tool in overcoming challenges faced by people over a wide spectrum of endeavors.

Vision analytics is an exciting and rapidly growing field thanks to continued advances in eye tracking technology and the implementation of that technology by RightEye. Given the professionalism and dedication of a great team, RightEye has been able to receive FDA approval for its System and has implemented it at the highest levels in both health care research and the professional vision care industry.

Vision analytics has proven to be incredibly valuable in improving the performance of athletes by measuring their sports vision capacity and then helping them train their eye muscles for optimum performance, just like they train their other muscle groups used in their particular sport. Vision analytics is increasingly used by reading therapists and academic tutors to evaluate and correct reading deficiencies, particularly at the grade school level. Because reading is so important across all academic disciplines, any impairment that can be corrected gives each student the best chance to perform to their true potential. An initial vision analysis can reveal important information that helps structure an individualized reading improvement plan.

Vision analytics is also used to track the progression of recovery for victims of brain injuries such as concussions. It allows concussion therapists to more closely tailor rehabilitation programs to the needs of individual patients.

The SightTrax mission is to spread the word of the value of vision analytics to an ever-wider audience of consumers who can benefit from this technology. By identifying RightEye providers based on their vison analytic specialty, SightTrax is able to direct consumers to the nearest RightEye provider for their particular need.

Thank you again for your visit. We are pleased that we are able to assist you in your quest to find the absolute best in vision analytics provided by SightTrax affiliated, RightEye providers.
