How awesome is this? Newly inducted Rock and Roll Hall of Famers The Doobie Brothers wanted to give us a gift with a live (in isolation) collaboration with legendary Peter Frampton. Check out their socially distanced video performing a remake of Eric Clapton’s 1970s hit “Let It Rain”.
The collaboration was done virtually, and every member of the group participated remotely. In a recent interview with Rolling Stone Magazine Tom Johnston of the Doobies stated that he, along with Frampton, had been discussing uniting on a project that would reintroduce them to this current generation of music lovers, while reminding the older generation that they still haven’t lost a step. It takes a lot of courage to cover an Eric Clapton remake, but if anybody can do it justice? It’s the Doobie Brothers and Peter Frampton!
Earlier this year, the Doobie Brothers posted another video along the lines of “Let It Rain” with the members re-recording their big hit “Listen To The Music. Enjoy!
