Today’s Bill Campbell What’s That Song is written by Rod Temperton and RIAA certified platinum, having sold over one million copies of the single version (released in 1978). Heatwave released Always and Forever in 1976 as part of their Too Hot to Handle album. Always and Forever climbed Billboard’s R&B chart to the #2 position, but only made it to #18 on the Hot 100 chart. Johnnie Wilder, Jr. sang lead vocals making Always and Forever a stand out amidst Heatwave’s predominantly disco repertoire.
