Eagles Hotel California Tour 2020
October 20, 2019Jingle Boss, Jingle Boss, Jingle All The Way!
November 1, 2019Hailing from Los Angeles, California, early on Dave Garrity listened to all the great stations—Boss Radio KHJ, Ten-Q, and KFI. At the tender age of 9, the radio bug bit Dave while listening to Bobby Ocean, Jackson Armstrong, The Real Don Steel, and M.G.Kelly (just to name a few) and caught the radio fever with the only known cure of being on the air.
Dave’s storied career began when he was uprooted at the young age of 10 and moved to Las Vegas where he dreamed of being a jock one day. During high school, he worked at KVTC and later went on to KLAS TV running cameras, doing public service announcements, and hosting an interview show called Kids Watch. Dave joined the Navy in 1982 followed by a brief stint with WJMO Soul in Cleveland. With a move back to Las Vegas, he started at KENO Top 40, KMZQ (adult contemporary), and KCEP Soul, followed by 10 years with Coyote Country and 3 years at KKLZ classic hits. In 2011, Dave was inducted into the Nevada Broadcasters Hall of Fame and received an award for his work from the Nevada Broadcasters Association.
Since joining the Boss Boss Radio Team, Dave claims it’s his favorite gig thanks to John Van Camp—the best program director he’s ever had. “John is from the Bay area and we both agree KFRC was the best Top 40 station of all time,” Dave said. Dave thanks the entire staff for all their support. “To all the listeners, Thank You For Being Boss!”
